Install on Android – Using QR Code

Installation via the QR Code is the easiest way to get an eSIM installed.

Step 1

There are 2 options for installing the QR Code on Apple iPhone/iPad devices.

  1. Open the camera on your device, scan the QR code and then tap Add Plan to Phone
  2. Go to Settings-> Connections-> SIM Manager -> Add eSIM and scan the QR Code to install the eSIM

Manual Install

If you are unable to scan the QR Code, you can also set it up manually.

  • Go to Settings -> Connections -> SIM Manager -> Add eSIM and the QR Code reader will open
  • Toward the bottom of the screen select Enter Activation Code and then select Enter Manually and follow the on-screen guide to enter the required details

Step 2

After scanning the QR Code, an Add Data eSIM screen will appear. Select Add and allow up to 10 minutes for the eSIM to install and activate on the device. When it’s finished, press Done and your device will be setup and ready to use the eSIM.

Step 3

When you are ready to use your eSIM, configure the eSIM settings to turn it on and activate data roaming.

  • Select the eSIM you installed and toggle it on
  • Select Mobile Data and switch it to the eSIM
  • Confirm the change to switch data to the eSIM you installed

Turn on data roaming

  • Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks
  • Check Data Roaming and if it is toggled off, switch it to On
